Benefits of Membership

The principal benefit of membership is the ability to work with, influence and where required pressurise ConstructionSkills. The Group liaises both with NCC who are the main provider of training to the industry and also through the ConstructionSkills Specialist Team on more general issues. The Group is not a trade association and so does not lobby government, provide technical advice or advisory services for members.

The Group can also benefit members in other ways:

• Provision of specialist training courses in response to need
• Financial support for courses which your employees have completed (please check for the latest information on levels of funding and course covered)
• Contacting ConstructionSkills about any problems you may have with issues such as apprentice recruitment, grant payments, course provision, EWPA and OSAT
• Providing access to useful information such as details of training providers use by other members

How to Become a Member

Membership is open to any company operating in the industry provided they are CITB registered and employ CSCS card holders. Subscriptions are set annually and the current figure (April 2010) is £360 plus VAT. The subscription year runs from August.
